Lola and Lila have been adopted!

Becky writes: "I have been housing one of my daughter's German Shepherd puppies for a week now. She was from an unplanned litter of nine. We call her Lola and she was born Sept. 13th, 2011. In the one week, she is 95% house trained, 75% on stay, 100% on sit and shake. She is quite mellow but loves to play. She loves other dogs and kids although she does jump on people. We are working on that. She came to us scared of everything but walks well now on a leash and has gone to Petsmart a number of times and has been great.

Lola has a twin called Lila

I want them to find a family home where they will not be outdoor dogs. They have much potential as far as advanced training goes and I would like to see them have someone take the time to work with them but yet have them as part of the family and never chained to a backyard!

My husband and I are older and unable to give Lola the kind of activity and training she needs."

Please note that these dogs are not in care of Gaardog Shepherds and are being posted as a courtesy to their owner.  GS makes no representation as to the temperament, health, or suitability of these dogs.

We occasionally have retired dogs (1-7 years old) available to pet homes (they are neutered/spayed). Small adoption fee. If interested, please tell us a little about yourself and your home and what you are looking for in a Shepherd. These dogs are very dear to us and it is difficult to part with them, but we have to in order to continue with our breeding goals and to be fair to all the dogs. We will only place them in homes that we feel would be the best match for them.

if interested in any of our adult Shepherds after they retire, please contact me at  anne@gaardog.com
